Multimedia
Multimedia is a combination of audio, video, images, animation, graphics, voice narration, music, and photos all combined to tell a compelling story or illustrate a series of messages.
The five o'clock news began using multimedia many years ago to highlight news events with twirling logos, text over graphics, music and, of course, a sing-song professional voice to tell us what we were watching on video. Even the weatherman used back-projected weather maps while camera 2 superimposed his or her image over the map.
Today, multimedia is used in every aspect of marketing including PowerPoint presentations, property or product DVDs, Flash and streaming websites as well as talking emails.
